Transport NSW needed a portfolio manager to sit over a range of projects and a team of project managers. Maree looked after this team of 8 project managers and the long list of projects, all at various stages. We prepared a regular portfolio status report, and facilitated the steering committee for the business to guide the projects in the portfolio.

Managing a merger after an acquisition is a big task – as GrainCorp acquired two new companies and formed a new division; GrainCorp Oils, Maree was brought over to manage the infrastructure integration.  This work was complex and fast paced, and had to be done in a very strict time frame; we managed all the infrastructure streams of the integration including a greenfield Office 365 setup and migration, a new desktop SOE build, a new network setup and cutover of three different regional sites, a telephony cutover, a new data centre setup in the cloud, and then a data centre move.

At NSW Education, Maree managed a project on behalf of a business unit. The work was technically based, but led by the business. This project was challenging as it was part of a larger program, and we had to manage multiple stakeholders across several different areas of the department. The product being developed was a web based application with Adobe commerce underpinning it – coordinating the technical teams and the data teams together was a key aspect of this project.

At Stockland, Maree was called in to rescue a project that had failed and had burnt through all the funds available – we reset the project, refreshed the financials, pulled together the right team to finish the work, and delivered it to completion.

GrainCorp needed a project manager to manage an SAP migration from physical servers to virtual servers. Maree managed this work for them without any  unplanned down time of this crucial application.
